Soundhouse is an ambitious music collaboration that brings artists and creatives with experience of homelessness and social exclusion together with professional musicians and producers to create new and original music and media.

Many of those using our services have a passion for music. For some it’s pure enjoyment, personal and social, for others it’s vocational and a desire to learn and work in the industry. Sound House helps both interests, engaging people in a diverse programme, from listening groups and accessible music-making outreach, to recording and production, live showcasing and accredited learning. The programme has developed two studio homes with a specialist focus on Young People and Adults, respectively.

“I find the access to the music studio inspirational. Given access to music with this quality and scale, I have to commend them. SHP care, they really care.” - Theo, Soundhouse artist and client from our Lewisham Young People’s service.
