What we do Achieving Potential Achieving Potential Many of our clients want to enter some form of education, training, and employment. This is a crucial step in leaving homelessness behind for good, and everyone deserves this chance. We are committed to ensuring that all of our clients are offered support with their career goals and find employment in their chosen field. Our Achieving Potential programme gives our clients exactly what they need to get that next job. We help our clients learn new skills, complete accredited education or training courses, provide career and interview coaching, build their confidence and put them on course to independence. In 2022-23 we supported over 1,700 clients with their goals in this area, with 350+ entering employment and over 750 completing education and training courses. Over 75% of those entering employment remained in work for the full contract length or over six months. We also build partnerships with employers around London to help us upskill clients and place them into paid work. We're proud to walk our talk and are proud to now call at least 30 former clients our colleagues. Personalised Careers Advice Our team of Employment Coordinators provide career guidance and access to a range of career opportunities. With clear, individualised plans, our programme of group workshops and personalised one-to-one sessions ensure that participants get exactly what they need to become independent. Digital Inclusion We are committed to providing access to different forms of IT equipment for the people we support, as well as opportunities to improve IT skills and confidence. Our eight-week Digital Skills course was launched in 2022, which provides a level two qualification and the opportunity to permanently keep a digital device upon completion. Employability Support grant Before you even attend an interview, you need skills training, ID, travel money, and look the part. This all costs money, and financial barriers like these can hinder the next step into work or a career. To ease this pressure, we created an Employability Support Grant. We offer our clients financial support for ANYTHING that will support them with their job goal. Things like ID, IT equipment, tools and training. In 2023, we provided over £10,000 in grants to our clients, which resulted in 525 ETE outcomes for the people we support. Ongoing support Supporting our clients doesn’t stop on the first day of their new job. We believe that staying in touch and offering continued help and advice to our clients and their recruiter is essential for sustainable employment. That’s why over 75% of our clients entering a new job remained in work for the contract length or over 6 months.
