We believe everyone deserves equal access to physical activity and sport.

We believe that the introduction of physical activity into core homelessness provision is essential to bring about positive change, transform lives and prevent homelessness. 

That’s why we’ve launched the Physical Activity For All Initiative; consisting of information sharing toolkitsroundtable events and sport bags

Through our Physical Activity For All Initiative - Our vision is to:

  • To share our experience, insights and findings 
  • Engage, grow and nurture a network of enthusiastic partners 
  • To encourage organizations to introduce Sport & physical activity into their offering 
  • Influence and inspire others to join the conversation around the positive impact sport and physical activity have on the lives of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

How to engage adults 55+ in physical activity & sport

This toolkit will reflect the work and findings of the Sport Project's first three years (2017-2020). Explaining how we got started, how others’ can too, and identifying areas future toolkits will focus upon.

Our work during the first stage of the project highlighted some key findings, evidencing that regular physical activity can bring significant improvements in physical and mental health, socialisation, and isolation.

How to use physical activity to combat loneliness and social isolation

Sport & physical activity can be a powerful tool to make positive changes in the lives of the people you support.

Our Sport Project has seen an 86% increase in women taking part in our Sport Project since 2020. 

We know that women are less active than men and can face multiple barriers when trying to access physical activity and sport.  

This toolkit will share practical solutions to common barriers women face, as well as positive participant stories - shedding light on the positive impact our Sport Project has made on women experiencing / or at risk of homelessness throughout London.
