FLIC was an eight-year Lottery funded learning programme, designed to support people experiencing multiple disadvantage and affect system change to improve the experience and outcomes for people accessing services.
Too often the voices of people experiencing multiple disadvantage aren't heard. Putting clients at the centre of everything we do was key to our work. Our support service was intensive, trauma-informed and led by the experiences and insights of our clients.
We worked in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies across both boroughs to improve services for people with multiple needs and drive systemic change, influencing how services are designed and delivered.

FLIC piloted a Multiple Disadvantage (MD) MARAC representative role, designed to improve actions, outcomes and case coordination for victims/survivors presented at MARAC meetings who experience domestic violence and abuse alongside multiple disadvantage. Read more
FLIC observed that homelessness practitioners had frequent contact with both victims/survivors and perpetrators of DVA, so collaborated with cross sector partners to develop guidance and training to improve identification, responses and referrals. Read more
Team Around Me (TAM) was designed to create a more proactive, solution-focussed approach to multi-agency support, and collate and communicate system barriers to commissioners to drive system change. Read more
FLIC’s co-location project aimed to provide knowledge, share skills and enhance support options for people experiencing multiple disadvantage in local voluntary and statutory sectors. Read more
FLIC aimed to develop, test and embed co-production by bringing together services, commissioners, and people with lived experience to influence the design and delivery of support to people experiencing multiple disadvantage. Read more
FLIC collaborated with Camden and Islington Foundation Trust and local services to develop the IMDF pilot project. IMDF brings services together to develop action plans for people requiring support for mental health, homelessness, and substance use issues. Read more
