The effective provision of free and accessible psychotherapies and counselling is a critical lifeline for people needing to make sense of what’s happened in their life, think about what they want for themselves, and how they can move forward. The service offers a broad range of talking and arts-based therapies allowing people to be heard and work through things in confidence. Critically the service is developed and delivered in-house at SHP, allowing the work to be informed by an understanding of homelessness, the impact of trauma and the environments in which people are living.
