2021 marks our fourth year offering Single Homeless Project’s Sport Project, funded by Sport England. We’ve engaged over 600 participants, improving the mental & physical health and the overall wellbeing of our clients.

Over the next two years, we are expanding the project's reach across all of our adult services and growing an enthusiastic partnership network outside of our organisation. To do this, we are launching the Physical Activity for All initiative, which will consist of information sharing toolkits, round table events and sport bags.

Our vision for this initiative is to share our experience, insights and findings, encourage organisations to introduce Sport & physical activity into their offering, and inspire others to join the conversation around the positive impact sport and physical activity have on the lives of people experiencing multiple disadvantages and homelessness.

The exercises make me feel good… They give me inspiration and they give me confidence to face the world again.

We are kicking off this initiative with our Physical Activity For All - Sports Bags. The idea behind these bags is to provide the support and tools to introduce sport & physical activity and inspire conversation around the benefits of incorporating it into your services.

We have twenty Sport Bags to share that can be tailored to the interests of your services. The bags contain a range of equipment varying from footballs, pumps and bibs, to rounder sets, and resistance bands and yoga mats.

Alongside the Sport Bags will be a short evaluation form, a guide for a case study should you wish like to highlight the achievements of your clients and a digital social media kit to share your progress and experience with your network.
