Hostels and supported housing are a vital lifeline for people who are at a point in their lives where they would struggle to live independently. They providing a secure and stable environment and ongoing support for people with a range of needs including mental ill-health, substance use and physical health problems.

Last year, our hostels gave more than 1,000 people a safe place to live and one-to-one support, helping them with their ongoing needs and, for some, to take their final steps towards independence.

To celebrate #StartsAtHomeDay 2019, we spoke to a few of them about their experience with SHP's supported accommodation services in the video above.
