Fulfilling Lives in Islington and Camden

Fulfilling Lives in Islington & Camden (FLIC) has now closed its doors. However, all of our news, learnings and reports can be found here, and our clients' voices and films can be found here.

FLIC was an eight-year Lottery funded learning programme, designed to support people experiencing multiple disadvantage and affect system change to improve the experience and outcomes for people accessing services.

Too often the voices of people experiencing multiple disadvantage aren't heard. Putting clients at the centre of everything we do was key to our work. Our support service was intensive, trauma-informed and led by the experiences and insights of our clients.

We worked in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies across both boroughs to improve services for people with multiple needs and drive systemic change, influencing how services are designed and delivered.

If you have any questions, please email Lucy Campbell ([email protected]), SHP's head of Multiple Disadvantage Transformation.

People experiencing multiple issues are often excluded from accessing mainstream services. We believe that by listening to, learning from, and working alongside people with lived experience of multiple disadvantage, we can create a system where people can access the support they need and want.

Co-production is not easy, and we did not always get it right, but we have learnt a lot along the way and are excited to share our insights with you. We are proud to launch the FLIC Co-Production Toolkit, a practical guide for commissioners and services to develop and plan approaches to Co-Production. Created with the co-producers, co-location partners and commissioners, the toolkit is designed to support participants to set co-production goals, develop strategies and explore different approaches.

Other topics included are; understanding co-production, identifying priority areas for co-production, establishing values, facilitation tools and techniques, planning a co-production project. Find snippets from our toolkit below and download your copy of FLIC's toolkit here.
