Why we need you

We need your help to capture the magic of the Hackney Half with your photography. You'll be taking photos of our runners and our volunteers as they cheer them on. You'll be helping us capture the elation of over 40 fantastic SHP runners as they pass our cheer points, cross the finish line and celebrate with their well-earned medal.

Great event photos can inspire people to run for #TeamSHP, so you'll be making a direct impact on our future fundraising. Your photos will also become cherished memories of our runners and their families. This means you'll be helping us to deliver the best experience possible to these inspirational people and encouraging them to continue supporting us in future.

Where and when

Sunday 22nd May 2022, Hackney Marshes and Mare Street

• Hackney Marshes - 9-2pm
• Mare Street - 9-2pm

It would be fantastic if you’re able to volunteer for the full shift, but if you can’t then we’d be grateful for any time you are able to give.

Minimum time commitment: 1 hour. If there's a particular location that suits you best, feel free to let us know.

How we will support you:

We will ensure you have sufficient travel plans to and from the event, as well as guidance on the type of photos we'd like you to capture. On the day itself, we will be on hand to support you, answer any questions and ensure you are getting the most from your day. Reasonable pre-agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for both budding and professional photographers who have photography experience. We also have a camera you could use, but it would be ideal if you could bring your own photography equipment to bring with you on the day.
