London is in the grip of a homelessness crisis this winter. And while a hot meal or a bed for the night may be a welcome stopgap, it won’t lift people out of homelessness.

That’s why our work – with its focus on helping people break the cycle of homelessness to achieve lasting recovery – is needed now more than ever. Over the next 12 months, we want to support 600 homeless and vulnerable Londoners to find homes and jobs so they can take the final steps to independent living.

Jamie became homeless in December 2016 after losing his flat. He ended up on the streets and spent that Christmas in a night shelter. After finding stability in our supported housing, he started to rebuild his confidence and develop his life skills. This year, he took the final steps to independent living and celebrated this Christmas in his own bungalow.

With homelessness on the rise, we urgently need to support more people like Jamie to build their wellbeing, life skills and work-readiness so that they can leave the streets behind for good.

But we can’t do it without your help.

Give more than a meal this winter and help transform the lives of homeless Londoners like Jamie. Together we can make this the last winter they spend out in the cold.
