"I've built bridges, I'm back with my family now... Back with my son, I've just become a grandad. I never thought I'd get these things back in my life."

Everything we do is informed by the lived experience of our clients and the insights from our frontline team. However, as World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day approaches (Saturday 10th October) we’re shining an even brighter light on the stories of people experiencing multiple disadvantage.

After celebrating its one-year anniversary this April, the Camden & Islington Navigator Service reflected on their learnings from the first year. Funded by the MHCLG, the Navigator service is an intensive street outreach service supporting people experiencing 'multiple disadvantage'. A cornerstone of the Navigator model is the relationship established between client and worker and, in a short film clients discussed the importance of trust and familiarity, and shared the recent milestones they've been able to reach with the help of the Navigator team.
