Jonathan is Chief Executive of VoiceAbility, a leading national advocacy and user participation organisation that supports over 30,000 people each year. Jonathan has 30 years’ experience in the development, delivery and management of social care and health services including twelve years as CEO of Advocacy Partners before its successful merger with Speaking Up to form VoiceAbility in 2010, time spent in Choice Support and in the NHS. In 2015, Jonathan was appointed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to chair its committee to develop recommendations to improve services to people with learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges.

Jonathan has been Chair of SHP’s Board of Trustees since 2003, bringing with him extensive experience in strategic change, leadership and charity governance.
