More about Arundel Project

An important focus of the Arundel Project is to provide clients with assessment, rehabilitation and preparation for eventual resettlement into appropriate accommodation.

The project works in close partnership with a variety of external agencies, which enables us to work safely with high-need clients and share knowledge and expertise. The agencies include:

  • The Assertive Outreach team
  • Islington Accommodation Team
  • Crisis teams

Many of the Arundel Project's clients have spent considerable time in hospital or had multiple admissions either voluntarily or under the Mental Health Act.

To promote social relationships and meaningful use of time, clients are encouraged to attend activities such as cooking sessions and art workshops, as well as to take up opportunities with a wide range of community employment and training providers.

The project is staffed on-site between 8.30am and 9pm - a concierge service provides cover at night. If necessary, management advice and presence is accessible in the evenings and weekend through SHP’s on-call service.

House Rules

Clients are issued with a license agreement and a set of house rules. These will be explained when prospective clients are interviewed. This includes rules on smoking, which is only permitted in clients’ bedrooms.

The service operates within SHP’s drug policy, which covers the use of all drugs including illegal or controlled drugs. In order to offer a secure and stable environment for everyone, no visitors are allowed.
