Locum Support Assistants

SHP is a London-based charity working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, providing a range of accommodation based and community support services to meet the needs of substance users, offenders, people with mental ill health and young people at risk.

We are currently looking to recruit a number of Support Assistants to join our locum pool. Working under the general direction of the Team Manager and the task by task direction of the Housing First Workers or accommodation Project Workers, Support Assistants will be assigned specific tasks and undertake a range of activities with the clients.  In Floating Support services these tasks will focus on practical support around maintaining accommodation and developing a client’s ability to acquire the skills they need to live independently. In accommodation services Support assistants may provide additional or basic shift cover under the direction of the Project Workers and team manager
