SHP holds Street Party

19 July 2010

SHP is joining forces with EC1, Islington Council and St Luke's Centre to create a spectacular FREE two-day arts event.

The Whitecross Street Party will be held on the weekend of 24-25 July in the heart of London’s internationally renowned art scene. For TWO whole days, dozens of leading cult, counter-culture and contemporary artists will converge upon Whitecross street, an area famous for its historical creatives, dissidents and mavericks.

While the artists will lead the transformation of the street into a large canvas, local schools, community centres, businesses, councils and charities have pitched in, offering loads of wonderful activities and things to do for all ages: giant knitting, carnival parades, silk screen workshops, children's photo booth, stencil printing workshops, live art demonstrations, birds of prey and lots more.
