Events and Sponsorship
Your adventure can change lives!
Every year SHP supports over 7,000 Londoners who are at risk of homelessness and facing issues such as mental ill health or substance use. Our support workers address all the obstacles to people's recovery and independence, helping them to develop the skills they need to move towards training and employment.
We need you! We need adventure loving, challenge accepting, thrill seekers to take part in our fundraising events this year. Think you can’t change lives? Think again! Sign up for one of our events below or get in touch if you have a better adventure in mind. Together we can help rebuild lives.
"I regularly see homeless people where I live and it has gone up massively, which is really shocking and I wanted to do something about it. Single homeless people, in particular, get less help from the Councils and are very vulnerable. I wanted to run the London Marathon, so I figured I should raise money for a good cause. SHP is a brilliant charity that supports single homeless people in London. I know they take my donation seriously." - Hazel, London Marathon 2013 runner.
Cycling, Trekking, Parachuting and more
Follow in the footsteps of cycling greats and join a fundraising London to Paris Tour de France challenge, run by Global Adventure Challenges. The Tour de France edition takes place in July 2016. Find out more here.
If not cycling, perhaps you'd like to try trekking over Saharan sand dunes or face your fears with a tandem skydive? These are just a few of the amazing activities that can be completed for our charity. These are co-ordinated by Do It For Charity. Find out more by visiting this site!
Otherwise, keep it in the UK with a trek up and through the Brecon Beacons in Wales, or the Peak District in Derbyshire. Hikes range from between 15.5 to 62 miles, with courses increasing in difficulty the longer they are. Learn more about TrekFest here.

Marianne Phillips, a housing adviser from Vauxhall, previously ran the Paris Marathon for SHP. She clocked an impressive time and raised more than £300 to support our work. If you are thinking of doing a sponsored event, from a running race to a bungee jump, then SHP’s JustGiving site makes it easy for you to raise funds for a great cause.
